Travel between districts can take a surprising share of a short holiday. Pick a main area, one meaningful highlight per day and some unplanned time for food, walking and rest.

In Cairo, a history-focused day and a slower museum or neighbourhood day may be more enjoyable than trying to fit everything into hours. Alexandria invites its own balance of city life and the Mediterranean. Consider arrival times, local traffic and weather before deciding what fits.
